What does it look like to discern rightly when it comes to what we post on social media? How do we know what’s wise, what’s beneficial, and what simply might not be for us to post? Let’s talk about it. I also chat about the oversimplification of what we see online and why we need to be careful about looking at someone’s post and immediately telling other Christians to “stop acting like Pharisees.” Lastly, I share some thoughts on a few recent conversations happening in Christian social media culture. How do we raise our kids (teens) in a social media world? That’s a big part of why I started this podcast but also - I’m not quitttte in that season. So I asked a parent who I believe did it really well. They made mistakes along the way, stayed rooted in the Lord, and now they have two young adults who have a healthy relationship with social media. I mean, that’s the goal right?
I am a huge advocate for using social media but I am also aware that it comes with real dangers. We talk about mistakes they made, the rules they put in place, how they stayed committed despite conflict with their kids and ultimately, how to teach our kids to rightfully discern.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it looks like to pursue social media wholeheartedly without slowly compromising the convictions God has placed on my heart. In this episode, I’m opening up about my interest in stepping into UGC, the tension I feel around making a living online, and thequestions I’m asking as a Christ follower who also feels called to go full throttle with social media.
